St Botolph Aldersgate is also known as St Botolph without Aldersgate.Situated: Aldersgate Street, London.
One report says that the old church was destroyed 1666, butanother report says that it was slightly damaged in the GreatFire and repaired and a large portion of the steeple rebuiltin 1627. The second report says that, in 1790, the church waspulled down and a new one erected at a cost of £10,000, by NathanielWright.
A third report says this was a medieval church that was rebuiltin 1754, and altered again in 1788-91 by Nathaniel Wright.
